What To Expect
The Green Trails
We start off with a short introduction about the archipelago kayak day's program. A 45 minute drive by air-conditioned minivan will take you away from the city and into the archipelago.
We start off with some sea kayaking instructions and safety precautions. Shortly after we're out in the Baltic Sea! We'll paddle through both small island groups and crossing open sea. The present birdlife is very rich, and swans, eagles and many other birds are seen on basically every trip. We'll pick out our own island and enjoy restaurant prepared, organic lunch.
From bird colonies to ancient fortresses, there are many sights to visit along the way. Maybe we decide to enjoy some 'fika' on the way, roping all kayaks together.
Upon return we briefly conclude the day and your guide will bring you back to the meeting point safely.

After reading reviews I felt encouraged to go on this trip - and I can happily say all the 5 star reviews are correct!
This was such a wonderful day - with breathtaking views of nature from such a unique perspective of the kayak. Sweden’s nature is so beautiful and it
felt so special to view it from a kayak alongside it.
You didn’t have to be a good kayaker at all to be on the trip, Patrick went through everything, but because in our group most of us had done it before and it was not a windy day we went a bit further and did a full 11km spread out with lots of breaks. They even provided a vegan lunch for me and my partner which was extremely surprising as I wasn’t expected to be catered for but it was delicious falafel.
Overall it was a glorious day with lots of chatting with other group members, learning more about Swedish wildlife and culture, and we even went to a quick hike to a nature reserve on an island with the most jaw dropping view and had a swim in the sea. Couldn’t recommend this enough if you like the outdoors and are visiting Stockholm, Patrick was a phenomenal guide.

From start to finish, this experience was fantastic.
Our guide, Patrick, was friendly, knowledgeable, funny, and personable, and made us feel very well prepared and taken care of all day.
I have also never been on an excursion that created so much camaraderie between strangers—by the end of the trip, I felt like I had made several new friends. It made the whole day that much more enjoyable, and I think the nature of this experience lent itself to bonding like that more so than other types of activities might. Of course, it also depends on your group, but even if you end up with a group that doesn’t “click” as well, the excursion itself is still an amazing way to see the archipelago and experience something different than being in the city.
The stops we made were thoughtful and well-timed out to give us time to stretch our legs out of the kayaks. The prepared lunch was beyond what I was expecting from a packed tour meal, and I really enjoyed unexpected little touches like getting to forage for wild blueberries on our short hike.
I honestly think this was worth triple what we paid for it. I want to kayak in every waterfront city I visit now! If you’re visiting Stockholm in the summer, would highly recommend (or even in the winter if you don’t mind the cold)!

Stunning and unforgettable

I was so enchanted by this beautiful part of the world, it is just spectacular and I really loved it. We were in a group of 8 and didn’t cross paths with any other kayaks all day. We were visiting Stockholm for 4 days and this was a great way to get a dose of nature without going far. George our guide was articulate and well informed. He took great care of our group and checked in with everyone to gauge our energy levels and to be sure everyone was comfortable. I would recommend this whole heartedly and would definitely use the same company again. A must for any nature lovers visiting Stockholm.

This was a wonderful experience. Patrick was knowledgeable, fun, and helpful. He shared helpful information and entertaining stories. He was thorough in the training so everyone felt competent and safe on the trip, regardless of their experience or fitness level. Sharing lunch on a little island we had all to ourselves was memorable. This was a long trip and a challenging one, but we ended the day feeling super satisfied by all we had done, seen, and learned. I highly recommend this experience.
